We begin now to spend more time at the lodge getting projects done as business is slow all over so it is the best time to accomplish things on the list.  Eric is so close on the micro hydro project and I can see refrigeration in our near future. We do have the usual breeze going so at least it isn’t too hot in the lodge.  It is a great day for a swim in the river.

Last week we bought a mare for the lodge for our riding tours and yesterday  we found another one for me.  2 new girls to keep Negro and Conejo happy and one especially for me to ride.

Happy New Year!!

Our guests could not have been nicer!  2 Families of 5 came to spend New Year’s with us. One family from Sicily and another from Sweden. Turns out our guests from Sweden included a famous musician and a chef/food critic who writes for a culinary magazine in Sweden. Super cool nice people who really enjoyed the peace of the jungle. The warmth and graciousness of the Sicilian family was so special and made us put Sicily on our bucket list. Sloths and toucans in attendance and we all managed to stay up until midnight!! Although it was pretty wet these intrepid travelers did the hikes and made it a good time. A lot of time was spent swimming in the private pools and waterfalls.

All the wood is cut and carried for the new cabins this weekend I hope at least…

I hope you like this present. Now you can edit your website to your heart’s content. Just don’t bother with it on your birthday. Go out and celebrate, then , when it’s time to go back to work, enjoy the WordPress site!

Thanks so much Anne! I am in and loving it.
